Unfortunately, this seemed to be a blatant rip and I felt like I was watching another installment of the “Saw” series. While I enjoyed the movie, I still get upset when I feel someone completely stole the idea from another successful series.
In “Are You Scared”, 6 kids wake up in an abandoned factory without an idea of how they got there. Once they all find one another a voice comes across the loudspeaker telling them that they are on a reality TV show. All of them had applied earlier to be on the reality TV show called “Are You Scared” but had since forgotten about it since they never heard back from producers.
The whole point of the show is to face your deepest fears. They all had to send in videotapes explaining why they wanted to be on the show and what their worst fear was. The “producer” makes them regret sharing their fears, and they all find out rather quickly that the show isn’t on the up and up and they are being killed off in sadistic games.

I couldn’t find the official trailer, so here is the opening segment of the movie:
Starring Tom Cruise, Michelle Monaghan, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne & Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Ethan Hunt (Cruise) is back for the 3rd installment of Mission Impossible. He is actually retired now from active duty and his job is to train recruits for active duty.
While throwing a party for his upcoming marriage he receives a call asking him to come back for another job. He finds it hard to resist as the job entails rescuing a young female agent that he trained and ok’d for the mission. The job is to go to Germany and rescue her from her captors.
The job goes wrong in every way possible and he finds out a man named Owen Davian (Hoffman), a large arms dealer in the black market, is responsible. He’s now in hot water with the agency for failing and not following procedure, but his instinct wants to apprehend the man responsible.
This will be the toughest job to date as he’s facing a villain who is insane, and has uncanny luck and backup in places Hunt never would of thought of.

Philip Markham (Furlong) was recently on a TV reality show where he was to win the love of a beautiful woman (Pressly) against other vying men. He was in love and made it to the last 2 before he was dumped on live TV. He was sure she made a mistake, and he’s going to make sure she knows that.
He takes over the home where the show took place and has his own show by finding contestants on the internet to compete for 1 million dollars on his own reality show, which of course is for his own amusement.
He holds his own competitions and has daily eliminations, and instead of going home, the losers get to die one by one.
