Blaine and Desiree Cartier (Cole & Henderson) are two extremely wealthy brother and sister. Blaine is currently executor of the Cartier estate and gets to make all financial decisions for the 2.

On April 1st, 2007, they throw a coming out debutante party for their friend Torrance (Scout-Compton). They also use this party as a means to play a huge prank on Milan (Aldridge).

Milan is accidentally killed as a result of the prank and all involved are investigated and put on trial. Blaine is blamed for the accidental death and as a result Desiree becomes the new executor of the estate.

One year later, on April 1st, 2008, everyone involved in the prank receives a letter from Milan to meet at her gravesite. They all attend and find out that Milan wants her revenge, and wants the person responsible for her death to come forward or they will all start dying.
