An old friend dies in a car accident and 4 friends get together for a night of drinks to honor him. Sid (Thomas) was unable to come face to face at the funeral, so he talks his friends into going to the grave site to share a few drinks with their recently departed friend. He later convinces Harris (Purcell) and Kira (Maran) to drink a bottle of champagne apiece and share a dance. Dancing in the graveyard would have been bad enough but they decided to do so right over the top of some burial plots. Considering these plots were of an arsonist and murderers, it probably wasn’t a wise choice!
One by one they slowly start getting haunted by those that lied beneath where they danced. The dead will not rest until the dancers “lay to rest” themselves. There is one way possibly for them to redeem themselves and break the curse, but can they handle doing it and do so in time to save their lives?

Starring Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker, Sigourney Weaver & William Hurt.
This is an exceptional film about the assassination of the President of the USA. The story is told through the eyes of 8 different witnesses.
The movie starts off by showing you a general perspective. The President (Hurt) is attending a summit in Spain and is to deliver a speech. As he is announced on the stage he is shot and killed.
Thomas Barnes (Quaid) is a secret service agent in attendance. He also took a bullet for the President in the past. Forest Whitaker is a man separated from his wife, on vacation to have some time to himself. He is video recording the event from the crowd when it happens.
Kent Taylor (Fox) is also a secret service agent, working along side Barnes.
Other perspectives are from the President, a child and her mother at the event and a couple of the “bad guys” that are involved in the crime.
As you go through each viewpoint, the entire picture of what happened becomes more and more clear. You would think seeing the same 20 minute scene 8 times would become repetitive, but each instance is totally different but for a few aspects.
This movie will keep you glued to the screen for the entire length of the film. The actors performances are phenomenal and the story is just as good. There is lots of action and attention to detail in the storyline. The movie will capture you from the opening segment throughout the surprising climax. I highly recommend seeing this film.

Ray Keene (Cusack) is a mild mannered father who lost his wife to cancer 2 years prior. He has a son, Chris (Jamie Anderson), and has a few issues with him as a single Dad. He was just busted smoking marijuana and he can’t seem to get through to his son. He tries to bond with him and convinces him to go on a weekend camping trip together.
Frank Carden (Freeman) is a hire for contract killer. He’s intelligent, convincing & meticulous about his job. Him and his crew are in the midst of setting up their latest hit when he is involved in a bad car wreck. He wakes up in the hospital, handcuffed to the bed. It appears the police, and the government, have found a man that’s been wanted for 30 years.
While transporting their prisoner the investigators get ambushed and Carden slips away in the waterway beneath the road, free in the local forest - the same forest where The Keene’s are camping.
Ray and his son happen upon Carden, and a dead police officer, and Ray decides to bring the man to justice. As they can’t get a cell signal, he must take him along with them until they can turn him into the authorities. The only problem is that Frank’s associates know his whereabouts and are on the prowl to spring him free, or they don’t get paid.
Morgan Freeman is outstanding in this movie. He’s not normally the bad guy but does an excellent job in this role. Cusack, who normally plays oddball characters, does a damn good job of portraying the grieving husband and father who wants to get closer to his son.

This was by far one of the best movies I’ve seen thus far this year.
Reservation Road stars Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Connelly, Mark Ruffalo, Mira Sorvino, Eddie Alderson & Antoni Corone.
Ethan Learner (Phoenix) is a married man with 2 kids. Dwight Arno (Ruffalo) is divorced, and has a son, Lucas (Alderson).
Dwight and Lucas are at a Red Sox baseball game and he is running late. He only has his son on weekends and doesn’t want to be in hot water for returning him to his mother late.
Ethan and his family just attended a cello concert starring their son and are heading back home. They make a quick pitstop to get some washer fluid for their car and so their daughter can use the restroom. Little did they know that Dwight is making his way down the same road, his mind completely on other things.
Ethan’s son, Josh, leaves the car to let some lightning bugs go that he had captured and stored in a jar earlier. He goes to the bushes by the road to set them free.
This is where everyone’s lives were changed forever.
Dwight takes his eyes off the road for a split second and that’s all it took for him to strike Josh and kill him instantly. In a panic, he rushes away from the scene, leaving Ethan and family in shock to find their son dead.
This is a story of 2 families, 2 fathers and how they both handle a tragic event. Phoenix is spectacular as the grieving Dad who wants to make some sense of his sons death. Ruffalo is equally as brilliant as the haunted Dad who must live with the pain and guilt of accidentally taking a child’s life.
